FUE HAIR RESTORATION

Why Choose FUE Hair Transplants?

If you prefer short hair, you do not want to be left with a visible horizontal scar on the back of your head. With FUE hair transplants, each hair is harvested singly, with the donor location carefully selected so you can maintain thick hair on the back of your head. The recovery time is faster than with FUT (follicular unit transplantation) treatments, as there is no surgical removal of a strip of tissue.

Benefits of FUE Hair Restoration

Modern FUE hair restoration, offer many benefits:

  • Faster
  • No visible scar
  • Less pain
  • Faster recovery
  • Appears natural
  • No major trauma to the body
  • Only local anesthesia required

Candidates for FUE Hair Transplants

Most people who have thinning or balding areas are good candidates for FUE hair restoration. The procedure is advised for those who want a very natural-looking result and hope to experience a faster recovery time. If you have thinning hair or bald spots, speak with us about FUE hair transplants. While the cost is higher than FUT, the results are exceptional. If you are generally healthy and do not have any current health conditions that could stand in the way, you can restore balding or thinning areas with less stress to the body, and great results.

What is the FUE Hair Transplant Experience?

The treatment will require several hours to complete. The initial step is to harvest healthy hair follicles from the back or sides of your head. The follicles in these areas are not genetically programmed for balding. You will not experience any pain, as local anesthetic is injected prior to the treatment. You will simply rest comfortably while the hair follicles are harvested, one by one. Each hair follicle must be treated with the utmost care, as we want it to flourish in the new location. The hairs are individually transplanted into the new location, which could include:

  • Bald spot on top of head
  • To fill in a receding hairline
  • Thinning areas

How Long is the Recovery from FUE Hair Restoration?

As FUE hair transplants involve far less trauma to the body, the recovery time is minimal. Initially, swelling is normal, which quickly diminishes. The new hairs will be visible, but surrounded by a tiny scab, which soon falls off. You could experience a tender or sore sensation. Plan on a few days off work so your body can recover. While you could return to work the following day, it is helpful to give your body time to heal. You will need to sleep with your head elevated and will be restricted from washing your hair or taking a shower for several days. The idea is to treat the area with extreme care, so the hair will settle into place and begin to grow.

Will I Have New Hair Immediately?

You will see the new hairs immediately, but the transplanted hairs will soon shed. They have been traumatized and naturally move into a dormant phase for a few months. Once they are fully integrated into your scalp, they once again begin producing normal hairs, which may require a few months
