Any person who has sparse, thinning or partial eyebrows is an excellent candidate for an eyebrow transplant. The cause for the lack of eyebrow hair can include any of the following: disease, alopecia areata, burns, tattoos, infections, repeated plucking, congenital inability to grow eyebrows and a genetic tendency for eyebrows to thin or disappear over time.
We ensure that the direction and diameter of the transplanted follicles are appropriate for his male and female patients. Men have distinctly different eyebrow characteristics from women. Men tend to have thicker eyebrows with a more horizontal pattern, while women’s eyebrows have more of an arched appearance that follows the shape of the bone around the eye socket.
